Karen A. (Duplain) Ellis, age 66, of Louisville, passed away Friday January 12, 2018. She was born in Elyria, Ohio on January 4, 1952. Karen was a former employee of the Louisville VFW # 7490 where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother Bertha (Duplain) Haught and her sister, Jeri Lynn Kerns. She is survived by a daughter, Ashley Ellis; two sons, Michael (Elizabeth) Ellis and William Ellis; significant other, Pat Womack; two brothers, Michael (Yorita) Haught and Richard (Lisa) Tilton; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11am Thursday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Pastor Fred Webb officiating. Calling hours will be one hour before services at the funeral home on Thursday morning. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
