Velma V. Thompson, age 87, of Louisville, OH passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017. She was born September 22, 1930 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Claude and Trilla (Hallmark) Galloway. She was a volunteer at the Alliance Senior Center.

Velma is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Swank and Stacie (David) Kouskouris, a son, Steven (Tammie) Thompson, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stancel W. Thompson, in 1991 and her brother, Jack Galloway.

A graveside funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday at Union Cemetery in Louisville, OH. Calling hours will 11:30am-12:30pm Wednesday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home.
