Robert "Bob" E. Peterson

Robert E. Peterson, age 95, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Louisville, OH passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024. He was born April 21, 1928 in Unionport, OH to the late Marion and Mary (McBain) Peterson. Bob spent his early years helping on the family farm in Carrollton, OH. As a Korean War Army Veteran, he was stationed at Panama Canal. Bob loved cars, woodworking, gardening and everything about Cleveland, Ohio State and Louisville sports. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his best friend and wife of 64 years, Helen Peterson. Their two daughters, Lyne (John) Buccasso and Sandra LaHaye; a son, Robert (Louana) Peterson; 9 grandchildren, Kellie, Shelbie, Rocco, Marco (Mackenzie), Illiana, Greyson, Brinley (Alim), Maghara and Malaika; three great-grandchildren, Zoe, Jaxon and Beckham; and a brother, Ron (EttaMae) Peterson. He was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Peterson; and 10 brothers and sisters.

A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 3 pm on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
