Donna P. Travis, age 95, arrived at her home with Jesus September 2, 2017.  Donna was born July 28, 1922, in New Matamoras, Ohio, to the late Joseph Ralph and Ava Lorraine (Root) Semon, and was the eldest of four children.  The farm life never left her memories.  On June 7, 1944, she married the love of her life, Roy Edwin Travis, who preceded her in death in 1988.  Her life revolved around her four children and her beloved pets, Ivan and Justice, as she embraced the honorable title of housewife.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Travis; her eldest son, Kenneth Travis; half-sister, Mary (Claude) Nash; three brothers, Dick (Elsie) Semon, John Semon, and Bob (Betty) Semon.  She is survived by children: daughter-in-law Gayle (Ken) Travis and her son Chris (Andi) Travis of North Carolina, and their children Ryan and Chloe; son Bob, of Louisville, Ohio, and his sons Eric, of Florida, and Mike (Jodie) Travis of Louisville, and their two children: Cole and Charlotte; daughter Pam (Bob) Stach, with whom she resided in Canton, Ohio, and their son Todd (Hillary) of Lexington, Ohio, and their children Bailey, Summer and Skylan; daughter Melissa Marks of Canton, Ohio, and her daughter Cressa Marks of Canton, Ohio, and her children Pryce, Mylahni and baby due in November; Willie Marks of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and his daughter Alexi; sisters-in-law Betty Semon of Westerville, Ohio,  and Janet Travis of Clintonville, Wisconsin; one step-granddaughter; four step-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Donna was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Canton, Ohio.  Her faith in Jesus sustained her through many struggles in life and with multiple health issues. Funeral services will be 11am Friday at Grace Baptist Church, 5050 Middlebranch Ave, Canton, Ohio, with Rev. David Ryan officiating.  Calling hours will be 6-8pm Thursday evening and 10-11am Friday at the church. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Evergreen Memorial Garden, Louisville, OH.
