Dr. Joseph W. Crock, Jr, age 69, of Bellville, OH formerly of Louisville, OH passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in his home. He was born May 13, 1948 in Canton, OH to the late Joseph and Joan (Schrader) Crock. Joe was an Army veteran and he graduated from The Ohio State University in 1973 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He was the former owner operator of the Louisville Veterinary Hospital, retiring in 2017.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Crock, a daughter, Lindsay Heisler, two sons, William Crock and Jonathan (Kristi) Crock, three sisters, Jane (David) Silk, Jean (Mark) Caldwell, Barbara (Thomas) Funke, a brother, James (Jann) Crock, step-daughter, Jennifer (Joe) Moffett, step-son, Eric (Dawn) Wolfgang, 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Joe was also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Debra Crock, and an infant brother, John Crock.
Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville, OH with Rev. Kris Westbeld officiating. Calling hours will be 6-8pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Joe will be laid to rest, with military honors, in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. Memorial donations may be made to Gideon’s International.
