Elizabeth "Betty" Funk Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” G. Funk, age 94, of Louisville passed away Friday January 19, 2018. She was born November 17, 1923 in Canton, Ohio to the late Harry and Martha (Hendricks) Smith. Betty was a former member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in East Canton. She was a member of the Robertsville Grange, Farm Bureau, Ohio Welsh Assoc, and a former 4-H advisor for several years.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James in 2005 and a son in law, Dennis Cioca. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Cioca and Sue (Larry) Carlson; a son, Jim (Christine) Funk; Five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A private family funeral service will be 2pm Thursday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home with Nora Henderson officiating. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robertsville Grange.
