Gerald “Jerry” E. Linerode, age 85, of Alliance, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017. He was born in Louisville, Ohio on August 2, 1932 to the late Russell and Grace (Johnson) Linerode. He was an Army Veteran. Gerald was a member of the Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville and the Aqua Mariners Scuba Club of Canton.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen John and Barbara Freshley; three brothers, Richard, Paul and Dale Linerode. He is survived by his wife, Louella (Masters) Linerode; a daughter, Dawn (Craig) Geiger; two sisters, Marge Hunt and Carolyn Bugno; three brothers, Ronald Linerode, James (Beverly) Linerode and Gary (Gail) Linerode; two grandchildren, Nikki (Mazen) Sakr and Mike Geiger, two great-grandchildren, Leila and Alec Sakr.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Dr. David Anderson officiating. Calling hours will be from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Jerry will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
