Welcome to the memorial page for

Harold V Welch

October 10, 1933 ~ January 19, 2018 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Harold V. Welch, 84, of Louisville, OH, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2018.  Harold was a deeply faith-filled man whose fiery devotion inspired many. He is now reunited with his parents, Cora and William Dee Welch, brothers Odell, J. D. , Carter and Ervin and his sisters Vera, Veda, and Irene.

Harold was a man of epic ingenuity who was known as a Mr. Fixit.  He could solve mechanical problems like puzzles, and always loved gadgets, and tinkering with cars. In his youth, He tore up the streets as a Drag racer and had many stories of speed and the cars he loved.  He was fearless!

Harold bravely joined the Army during the Korean conflict and served his country faithfully. He had a career with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company until their closing in 1980. The deep friendships he formed there withstood the test of time as he met weekly for coffee and lively conversation with several of those work buddies, his best friend and brother, Ervin, and even more friends who joined them over the years.

A music lover, Harold enjoyed singing and spending time with his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always full of gentle teasing and laughter and was affectionately loved by all who knew him.

Nancy Dennison Welch, Harold’s loving wife of 60 years, survives him, as do his three children: Kathy Welch Huthmacher and husband, Mark, of Dayton, Ohio; Susie Welch White and husband, John, of Spicewood, Texas; and Daniel Welch of Louisville, Ohio.  Sisters Benelee Welch Stark and Phyllis Welch Grella, with husband, George Libonati also survive Harold, as do his four grandchildren and their spouses, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Harold goes ahead of us and will be greatly missed until we see him again!
