Imogene Boyle, age 100, of Louisville, OH passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. She was born June 5, 1918 in Canton, OH to the late Paul and Rosa (Kloppmann) Hawke. Imogene had a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. She was a retired English and French teacher from the Louisville and Marlington School Districts. Imogene was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Canton, the Alliance Area Retired Teachers Assoc., Stark County Retired Teachers Assoc. and she was a charter member and past President of the Louisville Women’s Club. She enjoyed reading, knitting, cross stitching and sending weekly post cards to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, in the US and foreign countries, for many years with her sister Pauline.
Imogene was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Francis Karl Boyle, her daughter-in-law, Susan Boyle and two sisters, Mary Helen Bonte and Pauline Warch. She is survived by two daughters, Rozanne Linder and Roberta Lloyd, a son, David Boyle, a brother, Richard Hawke, five grandchildren, Melanie (Shawn) Davis, Evan (Bridget) Lloyd, Caitlin Lloyd, Carter and Hadley Boyle and three great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
