"Together Again"
Jeannette L. (Speakman) Knam, 93 passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. She was born July 16, 1925 in Paris, OH to Aaron and Edna(Crowl) Speakman. Jeannette was a homemaker her entire life and enjoyed sewing, playing cards and watching NASCAR. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Alter Rosary Society. Jeannette is survived by her three sons, Robert (Joanne) of Alliance, Don (Janice Jacobs) of North Canton and Michael (Kim) of Alliance; two daughters, Shirley (Mike) Sinkovich of Alliance, Diane (Galen) Bontrager of North Canton and daughter-in law Debbie Knam of Chattanooga, TN; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; four sisters Mary Welker, Martha Davis, Ann Miller all Waynesburg, Betty Speakman of Paris; two brothers Harold and Dale of Paris. She was preceded in death by her husband George of 53 years whom she married on April 28,1945 and who died December 11, 1998; son Larry and great granddaughter, Charleigh Lennon Reeves Knam; two sisters Doris Hall and Ruth Buchanan, three brothers George, Lloyd and James Speakman. The family would like to express their special ‘thanks’ to her caregivers: Sue, Hannah, Bonnie, Penny, Trish, Tammi, and Evie. A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeannette will be held 10:30am Friday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Ruggieri officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 pm Thursday at Stier Israel Funeral Home, Louisville, OH.
