Lillian I. Munk, age 96, of Paris, OH passed away Friday, June 22, 2018. She was born in Paris, OH on January 15, 1922 to the late Harry and Sylvia (Haynam) Lautzenheiser. Lillian was a 1940 graduate of Louisville High School. She was a member of Paris Israel Church, where she was organist for over 50 years, Robertsville Grange #1784 for over 65 years, Stark County Pomona Grange, Ohio State and National Grange, Stark County Farm Bureau Council for over 65 years and Stark County Soil and Conservation. Lillian has been a correspondent for the Louisville Herald for over forty years and helped on the family dairy farm for many years.
Besides her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Earl Munk, in 1995; a son in law, Gary Smith and her brother, Norvin Lautzenheiser. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Smith; three sons, Dale (Betty) Munk, Duane (Pat) Munk and Ronald (Kathy) Munk; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to Sabra Lucas and Peggy Hunt, who took care of Lillian while she was still at home and to the staff of Green Meadows Care Center for taking such wonderful care of Lillian.
Funeral services will be 11am Monday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Chaplin Larry Karlin officiating. Calling hours will be from 2-4pm Sunday at the funeral home. Robertsville Grange will have services at 1:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Lillian will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in Robertsville Cemetery.
