Roger G. Yoho, age 87, of Louisville, OH passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 with his family at his side. He was born March 19, 1930 in Canton, OH to the late Leo and Eva (Romy) Yoho. Roger was a Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked at the Diebold Co. in Canton for 16 years and then became and eventually retired as a high school teacher. He was once awarded outstanding teacher of Ohio. Roger was a member of the Fairhope United Methodist Church and the Ambassadors Quartet at the First Christian Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Jeanie (Barry) Guster, Linda (David) Stoffer, Susan (David) Martin, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Roger was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean (Rodgers) Yoho, in 2014, a granddaughter, Gina Maddox, an infant grandson, Matthew Stoffer and two sisters. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Sanctuary Grande and Aultman Hospice for the kind and compassionate care that was given to Roger during his tine there.
Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Joe Wright officiating. Calling hours will be 10-11am Tuesday morning at the funeral home. Roger will be laid to rest, beside his wife, in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society or the Aultman Hospice Program.
