Velma Mae (Feller) Hodge, age 80, of Ocala, Florida went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2017. She was born September 30, 1937 in Canton, Ohio to the late John and Myrtle (Upperman) Feller. Velma was married to Wayne Hinton and had six children: Richard, Brenda, Darlene, Robin, Randy, and Joel along with 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. On April 27, 1985 she re-married to Edward Eugene Hodge. Edward’s children are Russ, Randy, Ron, Rod, and Rhonda, along with 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren including 2 step great grand-children.

   Velma worked for 26 years for Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority.  She later retired and moved to Dunnellon, Florida. Perhaps she will be remembered most for her volunteer work and thoughtfulness. She loved to quilt blankets and write poetry for those in need. She always prayed for her family and kept track of everyone’s birthdays. She always made everyone feel special in their own way.  It is our honor to take time to reflect and remember her and for the Godly legacy that she left behind.

     A Funeral Service to honor her life will be held 11am Friday, October 27 at Stier-Israel Home in Louisville, OH. Velma’s family will receive friends from 10-11am Friday morning at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton, OH.
