Ann-Marie “Annie” Bush Macarie, age 66, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025. A proud graduate of Louisville High School, Class of 1977, Annie built a fulfilling career at Republic Storage Systems, where she was a dedicated leader in invoicing and accounts receivable until her retirement.
Annie was known for her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and the warmth and kindness she extended to all who knew her. She cherished the simple pleasures in life—afternoons spent reading, time shared with family, and her deep love for animals, especially her beloved black cats.
Annie is survived by her devoted husband of 19 years, Gary Macarie; her brother Dave (Cathy) Bush; her sisters Sis Sands and Michelle (Gene) Reichard; her sister in law, Cindy Macarie, Brother in law Dan (Sue) Tubbs, her niece Nanette Plunkett; and nephews Michael Wilson and David (Jody) Bush Jr., along with many other nieces and nephews and family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Anna Bush; father Ellis Bush; sister Debbie Scott and brother-in-law, Tim Sands
Annie’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her—for her grace, compassion, and the steady love she brought into their lives.
