Arlene Sickles, age 92, went home to the loving arms of the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. She was born June 14, 1928 to the late Lucille (Linder) and Edwin Rufibach. She was a life long resident of Louisville and graduated from Louisville High School in 1946. Arlene married Albert Sickles on June 19, 1948 and they celebrated 51 happy years together before he passed away in June 2000. She lived in her home for 69 years and enjoyed riding her lawn tractor until the age of 89. She was a long-time employee of Mercy Medical Center Pharmacy, retiring in 1989. Arlene and Al traveled many years in their motorhome visiting family and friends all over the United States. She was a faithful reader of her Daily Bread Devotions and loved crossword puzzles. For many years she was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ and the Meese Road Friendship Club. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Kathy Sickles, Kay (Gordon) Lange, Kristine (John) Blandford, Son-in-law, Alan (Laurie) Warnock, grandchildren, C.J. Blandford and Jen Ripple, Brett (Diane) Blandford, Linnea (Ty) Graham and Kayleigh (Loren) Pritchard, and great-granddaughters, Hannah, Addison, Sadie Mae Blandford and Kenzie Pritchard. Surviving also is sister, Doris (Ken) Brown and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Warnock in 2015.

A private family funeral service will be held at Stier-Israel Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. David Anderson officiating. Arlene will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in Beech Mennonite Church Cemetery.
