"Together Again"

Carol J. Bittenbender, age 78, of Canton, OH passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born in Rochester, PA on February 7, 1948 to the late Paul and Leona (Geisinger) Chabot.

Along with her parents Carol was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Bittenbender Jr. in 2013; her sister, Doris Quinn; 2 brothers, Ronald Paul Chabot and Billy Chabot; and 4 grandchildren. Carol is survived by 2 sons, James (Vicky) Bittenbender III and Mark (Marilene) Bittenbender; 2 daughters, Kathy Jeffers and Brenda (Randy) Czapp; 2 sisters, Kay Fabyanic and Donna (Earl) Blake; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.

Carol loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Her volunteer work was very important to her. She served in many food banks over the years.

Funeral Services will be held 1pm Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. The family will receive friends from 12noon-1pm at the funeral home on Thursday.
