Carol Nell (Wear) Pugh

Carolyn Nell Pugh, 81, of Louisville, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 1st.

Carol was born on January 17th, 1942 to Frank and Della Wear in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and passed while a dementia patient at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in North Canton, Ohio.  She was loved well and we thank the caregivers at St. Luke’s for all they did to give her dignity, grace and mercy at the end of her time here on earth.  May God bless you all with the same kindness.

She was the youngest of five children who all preceded her in death.  Frank Wear, Jr., Samuel Wear, Carl Wear, and Margaret Walters.  She was also preceded in death by her husband James E. Pugh who passed the previous May.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rona & Tom Wilson of Malvern, Ohio, her son and daughter-in-law Jon & Sherry Sprankle of Williamsburg, Virginia, and her step children, Doug Pugh, Michael Pugh , Steve Johnson, Dan Johnson, and Stacey Johnson-Manley.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Amanda Richmond & Megan Hershberger of Dover, Ohio, Zac & Courtney Sprankle of Toano, Virginia, Tori Sprankle and her Fiancé Gabriel Taylor of Arlington, Virginia and her 11 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville on Wednesday from 6pm-8pm and a private family grave side service will be held the following day.
