Cathleen Ruth (Warnock) Moore

The family of Cathleen Ruth (Warnock) Moore sadly announces her passing on June 13, 2019 in Colorado Springs, CO, at age 63, following a diagnosis of brain cancer.

Cathy was born in Bangor, ME to Charles & Irene Warnock on November 7, 1955 while her father served in the U.S. Air Force. The family soon returned to Louisville, OH where Cathy spent her childhood. She graduated from Louisville High School in 1974, after serving as Assistant Head Majorette her senior year. Cathy was loved by many for her generous friendship and her grounded, open-minded faith. She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, and frequently found spiritual connection in many other places, including Alliance Friends Church, First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs, and in the beauty of nature.

During her career, Cathy worked at First Federal Bank as a bank teller, Lincoln Way SERRC Center as a secretary, and 16 years at FRI Roofing as bookkeeper, later moving on to Shannon English Marketing Group in the same capacity. Alongside that work, she was a generous and dedicated caregiver for her father, mother, children, and little grandson.

While she claimed to dislike travel, Cathy made great memories alongside her family in London, New York City, Chicago, Las Vegas, D.C., Alaska, Texas, Florida, California, and Colorado, where she lived for the last 4 years of her life.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years, Harold Moore, her children Angela & David Seals of Colorado Springs, CO and Ryan & Andrea Moore of Austin, TX, her mother, Irene Warnock, siblings Alan Warnock and fiancé Laurie Bordner and John & Renee Warnock, nephews and nieces John & Danielle Warnock and Andy Warnock, one grandson, Everett Seals, and close friends Nina Raymond, Elaine Wasilewski, Linda Gotschall, Rita Yoder, Jill Smith, Linda Berkebile, Lisa Gerry, many classmates from the LHS Class of ‘74 and many more. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Warnock, and beloved relatives and friends who also rest at Union Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to their community in Louisville and across the country who supported Cathy and the family during her illness.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville. Cathy’s family will receive friends 9-11am Wednesday morning at the church. She will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CanCare at cancare.org.
