Donald C. Ferrell

Donald C. Ferrell, age 83, of Louisville, OH departed to heaven on June 1, 2024. He was born June 7, 1940 in Gnadenhutten, OH to the late Clarence “Red” and Mary (Johnson) Ferrell. Don retired from Sugardale Foods in 1991 after 30 years of service. He then worked for Louisville Schools and retired from there in 2002. He married his High School sweetheart November 22, 1958. They would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this year.

His family was his greatest pride. Don leaves his wife, Joan (Jones) Ferrell; his daughter, Kim (Bill) Palaski; two granddaughters, Samantha (Jed) Huddleston and Sabrina Lipps; four great-grandchildren, Gabriella Lipps, Rowdy, Rhett and Ryilee Huddleston; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Mark Wernecke and special family members, Jerry and Pam Dougherty. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Urban and Betty Hill.

A memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will be held 11am Thursday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Rick Brown officiating.
