Donald Glen Kehl, of Louisville, OH, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022 after a long and productive life of 97 years. He passed surrounded by Ruth, his beloved wife of 72 years, his children and his friends. Donald was born in Fairhope, Ohio to parents, Herman and Lela (Shepherd) Kehl on October 21 1924. He graduated with academic honors from McKinley High School in 1942. As co-owner and grower at Herman Kehl Florist for over 50 years, Donald oversaw greenhouse operations in Fairhope and supported their flower shop located at 4th Street and Cleveland Avenue in Canton. In his later years he enjoyed being a snowbird and worked part time for Walt Disney World Florist and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Donald was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and enjoying God’s creations. He Looked forward to the fulfillment of Rev. 21:4. Besides his strong work ethic, he is remembered for his ready smile, gentle spirit and devotion to Ruth and the rest of his family.
Donald was preceded by his parents, his brothers; William (Bettie), Raymond (Annabelle), Lawrence (Martha), Wesley (Rosemary), Sisters; Esther Rampton and Dorothy Lockhart. He is survived by his wife Ruth (Slaugenhaupt) Kehl; son, Don (Patricia); daughter, Jane; granddaughter, Jennifer; great granddaughter, Makayla; sister Eileen (Fred) Schneiter; sister in law, Rosemary and many loving nieces, nephews and special friends.
