Dorla D. (Becker) Moore

Dorla D. Moore, age 87, of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Canton. She was born May 19, 1934 in Moultrie, OH to the late Leroy and Faye (Miller) Becker. She worked for the Stark County Board of Education as a drivers Ed Instructor.

Dorla was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Garland “Slim” Moore; a son, Lynn Moore; a brother, Donovan Becker and a sister, Bethel Odey. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Jim) Carroll, Marcia (Dave) Katich; a son, Terry (Pam) Moore; a sister, Carolyn (Dale) Caskey; a brother, Ronald (Martha) Becker; seven grandchildren, Brian (Kimberly) Miller, Michelle (Josh) Taylor, Corey (Katie) Moore, Curt (Nettie) Moore, Melissa (Josh) Betts, CJ (Liz) Moore, Brad (Kellie) Katich; eight great-grandchildren, Gretta, Jack, Kaelyn, Nora, Aaron, Sammy, Kennedy and Madison. 

Funeral services will be 11am Friday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Greg Smith officiating. Calling hours will be 10-11am Friday morning at the funeral home. Dorla will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
