Elaine Kay Jack
On Thursday, February 10, 2022 Elaine Kay (Crislip) Jack passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a brief illness. Born on November 12, 1955, Elaine was a lifelong resident of Louisville. After graduating with the class of 1974 at Louisville High School, she married her husband of almost 48 years, Larry. They enjoyed spending time going on drives, family time at Paradise Lake and studying scripture. Elaine was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville and with Larry was involved in youth and children’s ministries. Elaine was affectionally known as a second mom to many neighborhood kids and an honorary grandma to the kids she cared for. Her biggest hope was to make a positive impact in the life of a child. Many, many people will tell you she achieved that goal. She was a talented seamstress who made beautiful quilts. Her talent was a true gift that she used to make so many people happy. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and was most famous for her cookies, especially her sugar cookies and cream wafers. Her family was her greatest joy. She would smile with pride as she talked about her kids and grandkids. She was their biggest cheerleader and always told them, “I love you more than you love me.”.
In addition to her loving husband, Larry, she leaves to cherish her memory her children: Tracy Jack of Willowick, Kenny (Sarah) Jack of Aurora, Colorado, Tammy (Chad) Mehaffie of Louisville and Tommy (Kate) Jack of Youngstown. Her grandkids, Ayza, Ricky, Patience and Madison will miss their MawMaw singing silly songs and doing anything to make them giggle. She also leaves behind her siblings: Rick (Lisa) Crislip, Craig (Karen) Crislip and Brenda (Junior) Crislip as well as her in laws and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents Kenneth and Sallylou Crislip, her brother Tommy Crislip and her granddaughter Rori Michelle Jack.
The Jack family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Aultman Hospital. The care they provided for Elaine during her stay was compassionate and loving. They made them feel like family and they are forever grateful for their kindness.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, February 15 from 5-7 pm at Stier-Israel Funeral Home, 917 E. Main St., Louisville.
