Elodie Ann “The Hat Lady” Bryan, age 91, of Louisville, OH passed away Friday, February 13, 2026. She was born October 5, 1934 in Louisville, OH to the late Arthur and Irene (Zwick) Monter. She was a 1952 graduate of Louisville High School. Elodie was a very active member of St. Louis Church, enjoyed her Bible study group, volunteered at Mercy Hospital and as a reading tutor at Louisville Elementary School. She was the former owner/operator of the Cut & Curl Beauty Salon in Louisville.
Elodie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bryan Jr in 2007; a son, Kevin Bryan in 1985; a sister, Marilyn Parola; two brothers, George and William Monter. She is survived by her daughter, Kellie (Robert) Straughn; a son, Kirk (Alissa) Bryan; a sister, Linda (Bill) Rittberger; six grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Ashlie, Kaeleigh, Austyn, Kohlton and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11am Friday (2/20) at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Calling hours will be 10-11am Friday morning at the funeral home. Elodie will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Louisville Athletic Department.
