Evelyn G. Moore

Evelyn G. Moore, age 94, of Louisville, OH passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born January 5, 1931 in Philippi, W. Virginia to Glen and Edna (Anderson) Wentz. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple for 60 years.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Harry L. Moore and a son, Gary Moore. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Cynthia) and Randy (Stephanie) Moore; her daughter, Lisa Moore; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was employed by Zwick’s Department Store, Director of the J.R. Coleman Child Care Center, and managed childcare at Denny and Marge Hazen Ministries.

Evelyn was known as an excellent cook. She delighted family and friends with her homemade jams and jellies, cookies, cakes, pies, and other delights!

Funeral services will be 11:30am Tuesday (1/21) at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Mike Frazier officiating. Calling hours will be 10:30-11:30am Tuesday morning at the funeral home. Evelyn will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canton Baptist Temple Memorial Fund.
