Frank P. Pugnale, age 78, of Louisville, OH passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024. He was born August 12, 1946 in East Canton, OH to Pietro and Mercedes (DeFant) Pugnale. Frank was a graduate of East Canton High School. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Porsche Club of America. He also served in the Army National Guard and was retired after many years in the oil and gas business. Frank developed many friendships through his love of golf and he was an avid car enthusiast.
Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan (Michel) Pugnale; his daughter, Janee (Andrew Eick) Pugnale; his son, Michael (Marci) Pugnale; a brother, Ovidio (Val) Pugnale; six granddaughters, Ava, Siena and Louisa Pugnale, Isabella, Cecilia and Ellanora Eick. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Argia and Marland Showalter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Monday, November 4, 2024 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville with Fr. Matthew Humerickhouse as celebrant. Calling hours will be 3-5pm Sunday (11/3) at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Frank will be laid to rest in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Timken Family Cancer Center at Aultman Hospital or St. Louis Catholic Church.
