Frank Charles Tatka Jr

Frank Charles Tatka Jr, age 79, of Louisville, OH passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born June 13, 1947 in Ravenna, OH to Frank and Kathryn Tatka Sr. Frank was an Army Veteran and he retired from Republic Steel after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Franklin, OH.

Frank is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Walker) Tatka; two daughters, Lora (Scott) Devine and Lisa (Jason) Mitter; his son, Frank (Michelle) Tatka III; two sisters, Mary Ellen Halter and Linda (Tom) Diehl; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Tatka.

Funeral services will be 11am Thursday (7/9) at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Thursday morning at the funeral home. Frank will be laid to rest, with military honors, in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH.
