Gary L. Brahler, age 79, Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born September 4, 1944 in Canton, OH to the late Vernon and Margaret (Monter) Brahler. Gary was a lifelong member and served as a lay minister at St. Louis Catholic Church. He was a 1962 graduate of Louisville High School. He served on the Nimishillen Zoning Board and he was a member of the Louisville Eagles and Nimishillen Ruritans Club. He loved golfing, playing tennis, snow skiing and traveling.
Gary is survived by his wife of 59 years, Olivia Jeanne (Luttrell) Brahler; two daughters, Lisa (Daniel) Lorentz, Renee (Doug) Roudebush; two sons, Gary (Katy) and Nate (Rachel) Brahler; two sisters, Ann (Don) Miller, Carole Hershey; four brothers, Richard (Sondra), Robert (Marilyn), Tom and Tim (Linda) Brahler; six grandchildren, Jessica, Alana, Fisher, Nathaniel, Olivia and Amy; three great-grandchildren, Landyn, Daniel, Lena Mae and Chloe; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Brahler.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday (12/1) at St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville with Fr Matthew Humerickhouse as celebrant. Calling hours will be 9:45-10:45am Friday morning at the church. Gary will be laid to rest in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities, Wounded Warriors or Haven of Rest Ministries.
