George Alexander Marinakis, age 86, of Massillon, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026. He was born on July 24, 1939 to the late Alexander and Evangline Marinakis. George was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Massillon.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Androniki Marinakis in February of 2026 and two brothers, Pete and Tony Marinakis. He is survived by a son, Nektarios Marinakis; a sister, Stella Tsirelis; two grandchildren, Shayla and Adonis Marinakis; three great-grandchildren, Amari’ Anna, Jared, and Elijah.

Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon, Tuesday May 26, 2026 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 364 First St SE Massillon, OH 44646. Fr. Spiro W. Kehayes will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-12PM at the church, and George will be laid to rest beside his wife in Rosehill Cemetery in Massillon, OH.
