Irene Warnock Obituary

Irene Ruth Warnock (Taff) 91, of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024, with the support of her loving family, the caring staff at St. Joseph's Senior Living and Crossroads Hospice.

Irene was born in Louisville on August 7, 1933 to Memet and Dorothy Taff and was an active member of the community throughout her life. She was the longest member of Christ Church of Louisville at 78 years. She was a very devoted member of her congregation including its puppet ministry in the 1990s-2000s.

Irene married her high school sweetheart, Charles Warnock in Christ Church on December 26, 1952. They were married 55 years and raised 3 wonderful children. Together they were generous friends to many. As a young mother, Irene served as President of the Fairhope Elementary School PTO. She later became a Driver's Education Instructor for Stark County at Louisville High School. Once their children were grown, Irene was a beloved fixture at the Juilliard Senior Center.

In her early 80's, she moved with her daughter and son-in-law to Colorado Springs, CO to be a close part of the life of her great grandson, Everett, before returning to Louisville several years later for her final years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, walking and time with friends and family. She will be missed for her listening ear, willingness to help, playful humor, and thoughtfulness.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Charles Warnock, daughter Cathleen Moore, daughter-in-law Karen Warnock, sister Sylvia Taff, brothers Donald and Dean Taff, and many beloved friends.

Remaining with her memory in their hearts are her children: Alan Warnock (Laura), John Warnock (Renee), son-in-law Harold Moore (Virginia). Grandchildren: Angela Seals (David), Ryan Moore (Andrea), John Warnock II (Danielle), and Andrew Warnock (Jen). Greatgrandchild: Everett Seals.

Services will be held at Christ Church of Louisville, 600 East Gorgas St. on Tuesday, September 17th. A time to gather with the family will begin at 9:30 am with the funeral service at 11:00. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband and many family members in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church of Louisville.

Irene loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us " ... eye hath not seen nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." For her, that joyous revelation has now come.
