James Clark Obituary

James Arthur Clark (aka: PaPa)  78, of Louisville, Ohio, passed away on January 1, 2021 after a brief battle with COVID 19.

Jim was born on April 1, 1942 to Gerald William and Ellen Alverta (Lewis) Clark in Canton, Ohio. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1959 and served his country with pride until 1962. On September 14, 1963 he married his soul mate and love of his life, Linda Louise (Blythe) Clark going on to have four children: James Ronald, James Arthur II, Kimberly Ellen, and Sharon Louise.

Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Jim loved to spend time with his family.  He was an avid golfer and fisherman as well as the ultimate Louisville High School Band Dad and little league football coach.  His friends and his community knew him as PaPa Jim.  Anyone who knew Jim knew that he was the most-loving father and husband a family could ask for. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald William and Ellen Alverta, his infant son James Ronald, and his wife and soulmate of 51 years, Linda Louise.

He is survived by his children; James A. Clark II (Connie) of Louisville; Kimberly E. Cowley (Danny) of Canton; Sharon L. Rohrer (Thomas) of Logan, Utah, and a brother Kerry Alan (Linda Sue) of Canton.  PaPa had ten grandchildren:  Melinda, Zachary, Kenzie, Spencer, Thomas, Kayla, Brandon, Danielle, Pershelle, and Vincent.  He was the proud PaPa to ten great-grandchildren.  Honoring Jim’s request, there will be a private graveside service for immediate family only.   There will be a celebration of life at a later date for all who loved him.  More details will be posted on Jim’s Legacy Facebook page.
