Janet Louise Ianni

Janet Louise Ianni, age 82, of Louisville, OH passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 after a period of declining health. She was born October 23, 1942 to C. Howard and Pauline (Spaan) Ehlers. Janet was a 1960 graduate of Louisville High School and a 1963 graduate of the Aultman School of Nursing. She was a retired RN after 38 years at Aultman Hospital, spending time in many departments. She was a lifetime member of the Aultman College of Nursing Alumni Association. She served for 10 years on the Stark County Board of Elections.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Guido Ianni in 2019; her parents and three brothers, Robert, William and Charles Ehlers.  She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Greg) Prasco, Julie (Brian) Lather; two step-daughters, Christine Ianni, Linda (Tony) Gambow and their families; her sister, Marnie (Larry) Groves; sisters-in-law, Kaye Ehlers and Helen Ianni; two grandchildren, Cameron and Caleb Prasco and their fiancés; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

Affectionately called Mimi, Janet’s charm, wit and love for others was obvious to all who knew her.  She had many friends and family whom she loved dearly.  Truly, to know her was to love her. 

Calling hours will be held from 4-6pm Wednesday, April 2nd at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville.  Funeral services will begin at 6pm. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
