Janetta L. (Casto) Royer

Janetta L Royer, age 85, of Louisville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 16th, 2024. She was born May 3, 1938 in Statts Mills, WV, the daughter of Owens and Sarah Casto.  Janetta was a loving wife, mother, and mamaw.  She retired from Aultman Hospital, was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Canton; and loved camping, cooking, baking, and gardening. She was well known for her homemade biscuits and apple dumplings and her love for all her pets.

Survivors include her children;  Debbie Price , Kenneth Reed, Keith (Laura) Reed, and John Kevin (Wendy) Royer; grandchildren: Brent (Tammy) Price, Brittany (Robert) Griffith, Alisha Reed, Angela (Clarence) Elkins, Breanna (Tony) Moldovan, Ryan Reed, Kassondra (Derek) Dimit, Brandon (Lindsey) Forrest, Kirstin (Garret) Stutler, Heather (Jesse) Howard, Brad (Stephanie) Forrest, Kelsey (Korey) DeHoff, Korrinn (Zane) Fisher, John “Joe” Royer, Gregory (Halie)Reed, Grace Reed, Emilee Taylor ; great-grandchildren: Austin, Madison, Bailee, Owen, Carter, Bryson, Connor, Tucker, Wyatt H, Emmett, Weston, Olivia and Leona.

Besides her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband John P Royer, daughter; Bonnie Forrest, son in law Steve Price and James Forrest; great-grandchildren: Clarence Jr and Wyatt E.

Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024 at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 6011 Faircrest St. SW, Canton, Ohio 44706, with Rev. Gregory Reed officiating. Calling hours will be held at the church on Wednesday from 5-7pm as well as one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Louisville.
