Obituary

Jean (Eleanor Jean) Metzger, 76, entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2023, after a long illness. She was born on June 8, 1947 in Canton Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur Metzger and Eleanor (Givens) Metzger of Louisville, Ohio.

Jean graduated from Louisville High School and Notre Dame College, S. Euclid, OH. Further education in Business Administration and Long-Term Care Administration were completed. Jean enjoyed careers as a teacher, business owner and in administrative positions at Canton Meals on Wheels and Regina Health Center, Richfield, OH, where she retired from.

Jean enjoyed her large family and is survived by her siblings: Jacquie Sfeir (late John Sfeir) of North Canton, Joyce (Robert) Sanders of Virginia, Arthur (Kaolene) Metzger II of Louisville, James Metzger of Louisville, Steven Metzger of Portage Lakes. Also, 14 nieces and nephews, 16 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: infant Stacie of Louisville and Barbara (Raphael) Khorran of Tampa, Fla.

A private graveside burial will be at St Louis Cemetery, Louisville, Ohio on August 3, 2023. Stier-Israel Funeral Home 330-875-1414
