JoAnn E. “Grannie” Rodocker, age 77, of Alliance, OH passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022. She was born September 7, 1945 in Alliance, OH to the late Charles and Helen (Buckalew) Lyons. She was a graduate of Malone University and worked as a Pre-School Teachers Assistant for over 45 years at Canton City Schools.
JoAnn is survived by two daughters, Martha (Steve) Galindo, Brenda Freeman; two sons, Ron (Phyllis) Rodocker and Charlie Rodocker; a sister, Peg (Fred) Bryant; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and her “Girls” Coco and Inky. She was also loved by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter and son-in-law, Louellen “JoJo” and Jerry Swihart; two sisters, Faye Senter, Kathaleen Cowley; two brothers, Gary and Terry Lyons and a granddaughter, Chantell.
"Grannie could be ornery, outspoken and very stubborn at times, but she was also SO kind, loving, patient and had one of the biggest hearts on the planet. She would go out of her way to help other people whenever she could (especially family). JoAnn loved her family and her "girls" more than anything in the world. She will be missed tremendously by those that knew and loved her."
