Jody Lynn (Hammond) Givens

Jody Lynn Givens, age 66, of Paris, OH passed away peacefully, in her home, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 with her family by her side. Jody was born March 31, 1959 in Canton, OH to James and Beverly Hammond. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and bird watching.

Jody is survived by her father, James Hammond; her daughter, Candice Smith (Rebecca); her son, Andrew Gatts (Jill); a step-daughter, Deanna Givens; two sisters, Tina Glass (Glenn), Christina Flaugher (Randy); 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Hammond.

The family will receive friends from 3-4:30pm on Monday, June 30 at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. A service to celebrate Jody’s life will begin at 4:30pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Great Life Vet Clinic, 4617 Mogadore Rd, Kent, OH 44240.
