John "Jack" A. Berkebile

John “Jack” A. Berkebile, age 85, of Louisville, OH passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was born January 6, 1939 in Johnstown, PA to the late Willard and Mary Berkebile. Jack was an Army Veteran and he was a retired draftsman from Union Metal in Canton. He was a member of Fairhope Faith Church, William H. Hoover Masonic Lodge # 770 F&AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton. Jack loved sports, but he was a very avid fan of Louisville Leopard Wrestling and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also was a very faithful swimmer at the Louisville YMCA.

Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda (Jones) Berkebile; daughter, Jennifer Mehl; son, Jeff (Patty) Berkebile; a sister, Mariann (Jim) Rinehart; three grandchildren, Brock Mehl, Madison and Peyton Berkebile and his fur baby, Benji. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Willard Berkebile and a niece, Rachel Rinehart-Warehime. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Kemper House in Strongsville and to the Care Team at Hospice of Western Reserve.

Funeral services will be 12 noon on Friday Feb. 16 at Fairhope Faith Church, 5660 Louisville St, Louisville, OH 44641. Calling hours will one hour before services at the church on Friday morning. Masonic services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday morning at the church. Jack will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairhope Faith Church, 5660 Louisville St, Louisville, OH 44641 or the Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215.
