Joseph A. Rieger, 78, of Louisville, OH passed away Friday, May 8, 2026. He was born August 15, 1947 in Strasburg, OH to Conrad and Catherine (Labb) Rieger. Joe was a graduate of Strasburg High School and he was an Army Veteran. He was retired from Hannon Electric.

Along with his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Janice in 2024; a sister, Mary Lou Lundenberger and two brothers, John and William Rieger. He is survived by his four children, Brett Rieger, Melissa Rieger, Jenny (John) Roberts, and Jackie (DJ) Csaki; two sisters, Alice Haswell and Peg Ewing; a brother, Tom Rieger and four grandchildren, Samantha, Collin, Mitchell and Allyson.

A private family graveside service will be held at Sacred Heart of Mary Parish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Refuge of Hope Ministries, 715 Second St NE, Canton, OH 44704.
