Karl J. Betz

Karl Junior Betz, age 88, former Louisville resident, passed away on December 19, 2023 in Anthem, Arizona. Karl was born March 9, 1935 in Paris, Ohio, to Ada and George (Ted) Betz.  He married Marie Louise Stertzbach in 1954 and they raised their family in the East Canton and Louisville areas. Karl worked with Sugardale for 20 years before starting his driving career as both a truck driver and school bus driver.  He and Marie retired to the Phoenix, Arizona area.

Karl is survived by his four children and their spouses, Cynthia Reece and Eric Powell, Deborah Poparad, Scott and Vickie Betz, and Kevin Betz; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Marie, and his first son, Timothy Betz.
 

Funeral services will be held at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville, OH on January 5, 2024 at 10am with interment following in Liberty Cemetery, Minerva, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society in memory of Karl.
