Karla Fischer

Karla “with a K” Fischer, age 62, of North Canton, OH went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in her home, following a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia on June 5, 1963.

Karla is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Mike Fischer; her mother, Willa (Richard) Goodlet; two sisters, Cheryl (Scott) Ackerman and Marsha Anstine; her brother, Russell L. Williams III and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell L. Williams Jr and a nephew, Justin Ackerman.

Known for an infectious smile that could truly light up any room, Karla had a rare gift for making everyone she met feel seen and loved.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, March 19 at the Canton Baptist Temple. The family will receive friends 11am-12:30 at the church prior to the service on Thurs. A celebration of her life and the light she shared will be immediately following (approx. 2pm), at the Louisville Eagles.
