Katherine I (Kitchen) Waers

Katherine I. Waers, age 96, of Canton, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in her daughter’s home. She was born March 2, 1927 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late John and Margaret Kitchen. She was a member of the Easton Chapel United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Waers and her son, William Barker. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Niner and Sandra Sansone and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Katherine’s life will be 11am Thursday March 30 at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Jim Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Thursday morning at the funeral home. Katherine will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH.
