Kenneth Vaughan Jr.

Kenneth R. Vaughan Jr, age 61, of Hartville, OH was ushered into the presence of our Lord on February 19, 2024. He was born in Alliance OH on November 8, 1962. He owned and operated Vaughan’s Custom Leather in Hartville, OH. He was a self-employed leather craftsman. He was proud to share that he never once had to fill out a job application. His loving wife and best friend worked by his side for 27 years. Their business was truly unique. For the past two decades, they traveled to various craft shows throughout Ohio selling their leather products.

Ken gave his life to Christ in his early 20’s and faithfully attended The Chapel in Marlboro. He was a member of SASS (Cowboy Action Shooting). Known to his SASS posse as Rowdy Red Tailor, he truly enjoyed spending time competitive shooting.

Ken is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan (Dawson) Vaughan; three daughters, Lauren (John) Bauman, Emily (Paul) Salaski, Shannon (Martin) Fultz; a son Ben Vaughan; four grandchildren, Peyton and Judah Bauman, Vivienne and Violet Salaski; his mother, Louise Vaughan; mother-in-law, Sandra Dawson; his sister, Adrienne Vaughan (Richard); a brother, Aaron (Flerida) Vaughan; and special brother-in laws Jeff (Sara) Dawson and Greg (Trish) Dawson.  He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth R. Vaughan Sr. 

Ken was a cherished husband, father and papa. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be 11am Monday at The Chapel in Marlboro with Pastor Tom Edwards officiating. Calling hours will be 3-6pm Sunday and one hour before services at the church. Ken will be laid to rest in Marlboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ken to The Chapel in Marlboro, 8700 Edison St NE, Louisville, OH 44641.
