Kent Paul Kerchner, age 58, of Louisville, OH passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, to join his father Frank in Heaven. He graduated from Louisville High School and was a lifetime resident of Louisville. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the Louisville F.O.E. Kent always stressed that his greatest accomplishment was raising his two children, Kaitlin and Kyle. A hands-on dad, he never missed an event, guiding them in faith and good life lessons. Throughout his life he worked at the Louisville Bowl, Metzger’s Drive thru, Alliance Ventures, NEOMED and Formco. Kent always took great pride in his work, he loved to engage people in good conversation, always with a smile on his face. He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. As a young adult he spent time touring and bowling with his father in the National ABC’s. An athletic outdoorsman he loved golf, hiking, deer hunting and gardening. He also loved his home, cars and his toys, but mostly family.
Kent is survived by his wife, Susan NewVine-Kerchner; his children, Kaitlin (fiancé’ Kyle Mammone) and Kyle Kerchner; his mother, Cynthia (Peer) Kerchner; two sisters, Kristina (Ed) Hamsher, Kaolene (Art) Metzger; brother, Keith “KC” (Monica) Kerchner and many nieces and nephews, Mathew (Linsay) Hamsher, Michael (Chelsee) Hamsher, Merideth (Mat) Roberts, AJ (Emily) Metzger, Elliott Metzger, Adrienne Metzger, Kacie-Erin (Ricky) Dustman, Tyler Marie Kerchner. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank C. Kerchner.
Kent struggled with illness for over a year and half but is now at peace and pain free. Love one another, keep the faith, free your soul.
