Larry W. Lautzenheiser, age 83, of Louisville, OH passed away unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was born November 3, 1940, at Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH to Ivan and Mary (Lombardy) Lautzenheiser. Larry retired from AEP Ohio Power Company after many years of service. He was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ, William H. Hoover Masonic Lodge #770 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, Ohio Power 301 Electric Seniors, and AEP Veterans.
Larry was preceded in passing by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor “Ellie” L. (Stertzbach) Lautzenheiser, his parents, and his brother George Lautzenheiser. He is survived by his two sons, Eric (Rick) (Heidi) and Todd (Michelle) Lautzenheiser; four grandchildren; Paige, Sydney, Tyler (fiancé Caitlin Hawkins) Lautzenheiser and Lauren (Aaron) Bodenschatz.
A service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at Stier-Israel Funeral Home, 917 E Main St, Louisville, OH 44641. Masonic Services will begin at 6 pm with memorial services immediately following. Larry will be laid to rest during a private family committal at Union Cemetery in Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry’s memory may be made to Paradise United Church of Christ, 619 E Main St, Louisville, OH 44641.
