Lois Margaret (Thorn) Ringer

Lois Margaret Ringer, age 98, loving mother and grandmother, of Louisville, OH passed away Friday, February 3, 2023. She was born April 28, 1924 in Wellsville, OH to the late Eugene and Mabel Thorn Sr. She was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ. Lois was a true homemaker and a wonderful mother. She loved her cats, raising Angus Cattle, bowling and watching football.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Earl Ringer; five sisters, Rose White, Phyllis Aberegg, Bernice Chevraux, Martha Mowen, Helen Schaub; three brothers, Eugene Jr, Lewis and Clifford Thorn; and a great-grandson, Liam. She is survived by two daughters, Marsha Burdick, Linda (Keith) Balzer; three sons, Michael (Susan), Jeffrey (Carletta) and Jerry Ringer; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Green Meadows for the wonderful, compassionate care that was given to Lois.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Dr. David Anderson officiating. Calling hours will be 4-6pm Tuesday evening and 10-11am Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Lois will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in Warstler Cemetery, Canton, OH.
