Loretta Rose Turner, age 66, loving mother of three and adoring wife of 47 years to Charles William Turner, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 following a sudden illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 17, 1957 in Grafton, West Virginia to the late Lynn Edmund and Helen Bernetta Mayle. Loretta worked as the Director of Transportation for ABCD Transportation for over 15 years. She was a devoted member of the Women of Worth Canton Massillon Chapter as well as the Massillon Wesleyan Methodist Church. Loretta was an avid Louisville Leopard fan and former member of the Louisville Band Boosters. She was a passionate Grammy to her grandbabies and loved to spoil them.
She met her husband in 1975 at the Crystal Park Church where they fell in love and started a family of their own. She leaves behind her three beautiful daughters, Cutia Turner of Louisville, Ohio, Julie (Byron) Leavell of Massillon, Ohio, and Katie (Antonio) Michaelis of Berry, Alabama. She was a proud Grammy to three precious grandchildren, Mason Leavell, Catalina and Cecilia Michaelis. She is survived by her brother, Lonnie Mayle, Grafton, West Virginia, sister Lorena (Lane) Glick, Massillon, Ohio, and sister Lois (Leon) Glick of Massillon, Ohio and many adored nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Linda Gandee and in-laws, Dean Marshall, Ronald Gandee and Donna Mayle.
Funeral services will be held 11am on Friday, May 17th, 2024 at the Crystal Park Wesleyan Church, 2300 Mahoning Road NE, Canton, Ohio 44705 with Pastor Gabriel Norris officiating. Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 16th, 2024 from 5-7pm at Crystal Park Church. Loretta will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Louisville, Ohio.
