Louis Charles Duplain, age 81, of Louisville, OH passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was born March 20, 1943 in Louisville, OH to the late Louis C. and Madaline (McGinnis) Duplain. Chuck retired from Belden and Blake Oil Corp. in 1996 and then became a partner in the Constitution Land Surveying Company. He was an active member and past president of the Louisville F.O.E. Chuck served on the Louisville Fire Dept from 1974-1980 and he was a member of the Mahoning Rd. VFW. He enjoyed golfing and went on many golf trips over the years.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 63 years, Polly Duplain; two sons, Louis “Chuck” (Becky) Duplain II, Dan (Jina) Duplain; three sisters, Cheryl (Fran) Stoiber, Becky Crawford, Debbie (Rodney) Dimmerling; two brothers, Dick (Rosie) and Ronnie (Genetta) Duplain; four grandchildren, Trey, Chad (Matthew), Amelia (Kalie) and Daniel; sister in-law, Ailene McAfee and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother in-law, Jim McAfee. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Care Center for the kind and compassionate care that Chuck received during his time there.
Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday (1/23) at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Calling hours will be 10-11am Thursday morning at the funeral home.
