"Together Again"

Mary P. Johnson, age 89, loving mother and grandmother, of Canton, OH, passed away peacefully in her home, with her family by her side, on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was born January 31, 1934 in Newton, West Virginia to the late Roosevelt and Thelma Ashley. Mary was retired from K-Mart and she was a longtime member of the Louisville Church of Christ.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jack Johnson and two brothers, Roosevelt Ashley Jr and Paul Keith Ashley Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Valerie (Virgil Jr) Ring, Phyllis Diann Matelski; a son Johnney (Theresa) Johnson; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11am Thursday at Louisville Church of Christ, 1520 California Ave, Louisville, OH 44641. The family will receive friends 10-11am Thursday morning at the church. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
