Passing peacefully at home naturally Mary went home to be with the Lord, April 21, 2021. Born Feb 20, 1923 in Canton, OH, to the late Henry A. & Forest E. (Meek) Stockert. A 1940 graduate of Louisville High in Louisville, OH where she resided. She was a devote church member for 85 years of MLLC until closing in 2009 when she joined Kountze Memorial. Surviving family include, 2 sons, Roger Matz & Mark Francis, SR., daughter-in-law Joyce (Donald) Matz; 6 grandkids, Penny (Matz) Bragg, Steven Matz, Mark Jr, Jennifer, Michael, & Jeffrey Francis; 20 Great & 4 Great-Great Grandkids, numerous nieces & nephews; 5 step-kids with several Grand, Great, & Great-Great Grand kids; as well as her longtime companion Merle Cunningham. Besides her parents she’s preceded in death by 3 husbands, Paul Matz, William Francis, & Lawrence Shankle, son Donald Matz, siblings Carl, Floyd, Edith, & Lucille, & 7 step-kids.
Funeral Services will be 12 noon, Monday in Stier-Israel Funeral Home, Louisville. Calling hours will be 11am to 12 noon on Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery Louisville, Ohio.
