Nancy C. Wise

Nancy C. Wise, age 88, of North Canton, OH passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023. She was born June 9, 1934 in Canton, OH to the late Ethan and Bernice (Schaefer) Rohrer. Nancy graduated from Marlboro High School. She was a member of Werner United Methodist Church and Paradise United Church of Christ. She was very proud to have been the first female to serve on the Nationwide Insurance Board of Directors and she also served on the Farm Bureau Board of Directors.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Don Wise; daughter, Lori Mickley; two sons, Dave (DeeDee) and Mark (Chris) Thomas; two sisters, Donna Vaughan and Faye (Mark) Maholm; seven grandchildren, Jake Thomas, Brittany (Brent) Steed, Caitlin (Dusty) Dimateo, Valerie Thomas, Andrea (Mikey) Schmuck, Nick Thomas, Ethan Recchio; four great-grandchildren, Cale, Michael, Bishop and Ava; two step-daughters, Cynthia (Jim) Kullman, Sharon (Gary) Kochak. She was preceded in death by Robert Thomas.

Funeral services will be 10am Wednesday morning at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Jim Lawrence officiating. Calling hours will be 5-7pm Tuesday evening and 9-10am Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Nancy will be laid to rest in Marlboro Cemetery.
