Patricia "Pat" King Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Kaiman Bourgeois King passed away on February 7, 2025, in Canal Fulton, Ohio.

Pat was born in Newport, RI on September 2, 1943, to parents Sol & Evelyn Kaiman. She and her younger sister, Debbie, spent their early years on Prudence Island in the Narragansett Bay, where their mother was the schoolteacher and their father the proprietor of the island store.

Pat was an exceptional student, initially attending Pembroke College (Brown University) and later completing her degree in Christian Counseling at Trinity College of the Bible and Theology Seminary. A lifelong learner, she also earned CLU and FMLI distinctions.
Pat was an avid reader and lover of cats as well as a talented cross-stitcher. She was known for telling charming, funny stories—always with a mischievous sparkle in her eye.

Pat was an award-winning, licensed Realtor and served as President of the Women’s Council of Realtors for Stark County, where she was a member for 32 years. She took pride in guiding people as they transitioned through important moments in their lives. Pat later carried this passion into her personal relationships, offering spiritual guidance and support to many in her community.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and very recently by her husband Glenn, whom she had been married to for 45 years. Pat is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Bourgeois, a step-daughter, Glenna Freeman, a sister, Debbie Tillinghast, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held at 10:30am on Monday, February 17, at the Eastwood Springs Church, 5520 Ravenna Ave, Louisville, OH 44641. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Pat’s honor to Legacy of Honor (www.honorthelegacy.org).
